Under the banner Tijuana is the Future, Tijuana Innovadora 2020 will be held online and free of charge. As a part of this event, six panel discussions will be presented addressing the challenges facing the Tijuana-San Diego region: Future Vision 2040, inspired by the book El Tercer País, San Diego and Tijuana by Michael S. Malone, one of the world’s most recognized technology writers.

Jose Galicot Behar, president and founder of Tijuana Innovadora, noted that our region is growing at an accelerated pace, and it is necessary to know the new challenges we face and how technology can be the key to meeting them.

“We will have top-level guests at this event. On the third day of activities, we will have the panel “Efficiency: How to achieve a better Border”; which will include Chappel Lawson, professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Evan Smith, founder of Altana Technologies, a specialist in artificial intelligence”;

He also indicated that Ben Rohrbaugh, executive director of Latern UAS, expert on the subject of border security and Ariel Picker, who is executive director of Technology at Seguritech, one of the main technology integrators in Mexico, will also participate.

Finally, José Galicot invited people from both sides of the border to keep an eye out for this panel on Thursday, October 8, at 7:00 pm, accessible at no cost at www.tijuanaeselfuturo.org.
